Popular Andalusian Center Sant Cugat del Vallés, is an entity registered in the Department of Justice of the Generalitat, in 1977 and settled inAndalusia.
Our history in regard to the conduct of the May Crosses dating from 1980, due to large numbers of people affiliated with the entity that came fromAndalusian towns, where the Festival of the Crosses of May were the mostimportant to be held after the Easter and Festivities in most villages of Andalusia.
We started with a small cross to the current Cross which now fit the 2200carnations. All preparations for this festival we started in sufficient time so we would not take the train for the unexpected.
Cross begins to decorate the day before the first afternoon and evening is already installed in their proper place, and in the morning and is preparedthe altar for the celebration of Holy Mass, and within the Mass the priestleaves Officiant at which time the offering is made to the Cross by themajority of people attending Mass in the same pilgrims’ choir involved.
